1. Review your unit plan for the sections that are not yet complete. We should be ready to write the unit summary, instructional procedures, assessment summary, and any other incomplete sections. We will be focusing on any additional formative assessments that are needed(self-checklists, self-reporting guidelines for the student etc.), and handouts for the unit. In addition:
2 We will go over the self-analysis you did last week, p. 5.05-5.06. 3. Work through pages 6.02-6.09, and then add those sections on the Unit Plan.
4. Do you need a template for their projects? See p. 6.10-6.14.
5. If your unit plan looks complete, get the Implementation Plan from the handouts page here, and create yours.
6. Next week, we will do the reflections for Portland State, and Showcase the following week, and then upload. Tonight and both of those sessions should be abbreviated sessions.
October 20 2010
Tonight, sessions will start getting quite a bit shorter.
1. Finish your student sample, and put it on your wiki page, if you did not get this done last week.
2.Do page 5.03-5.04 on your TappedIn Office Discussion, and discuss the problems and issues you see when you involve students in the assessment process. Later, find two classmates TappedIn office discussions--and respond to their comments.
3.Do the self-analysis on p. 5.05-5.06 and be ready to share one that you have near the "Never" end of the scale, and one near the "Always" end of the scale. Also note at least one you would like to improve, as the book notes.
4. Work through p. 5.06-5.16, and develop, revise, add to your assessment plan on your Unit Plan. Upload the new version of the Unit Plan with these changes. Develop the Assessments/Checklists/Rubrics for your Unit Plan and Student Sample.
Use the resource disk samples and the Intel website, but also check Rubistar--it is the first place I go when I need to make a rubric or checklist. Intel bought the platform from Rubistar for their Assessing Projects, but Rubistar is still the best: http://rubistar.4teachers.org/ 5. Upload your newest version of your unit plan, and the assessments you create to your wiki page.
We are almost done!
